Back around 20 years ago I used to have a blog that was set up so that readers could leave feedback. Some of the comments used to crack me up, so this one time, I compiled a bunch of them into a post.
In this day and age (2026) almost all feedback on social media platforms is AI, so it's boring, repetitive, witless crap, just as everything "written" by AI always is. I'm not interested in modern feedback, but when I found this old feedback post last week, I felt like sharing it again.
This year the hits on this blog have ranged from under 50 to over 8000 per day. I'm far from convinced anything to do with modern blogging is real! But I do think most of these comments from around 2006 were real.

After further testing I concluded that a picture of a try hard heavy metaler with his PENIS hanging out of a hole in the crotch of his pants was offending Google so I replaced it.

As a general physician, I am highly concerned about the rampant use of coke and pepsi products for a simple reason: pH.
The blood must “religiously” maintains a basic pH of 7.35-7.45. Since a blood pH of less than 7.2 can result in death by cardiac arrest or metabolic acidosis, the body essentially “robs Peter to pay Paul” to ensure the blood pH remains within strict limits.
Since the pH scale is logarithmic, the pH of coke (about 3.4) is TEN THOUSAND times (10 to the 4th power) more acidic than the normal blood pH of about 7.4. Studies have shown that these acidic drinks increase the urinary excretion of calcium; it only makes simple sense that the source of this calcium is from bone since an increased level of calcium, absorbed from the bones, helps to buffer the pH of the blood to maintain that life-promoting pH of about 7.4.

That is something I really don't have a firm opinion on, as there is a solid argument to be made that it's pointless plagiarism that pisses off the authors and serves no useful purpose.
On the other hand I do have reasons for doing it from time to time. I don't make any income from this blog so it's not about that. Most of the content I post is primarily aimed at me, rather than any unknown and possibly non existent readers. Those thousands of hits I appear to be getting could well be mostly AI.
But when I'm trying to share some good info with my friends sometimes the links I send them just kill the whole experience. A prime example is anything on Substack. To me, the whole platform is a dog's breakfast, confusing, filled with subscriptions and pop-ups, an ugly looking mess.
Another example is the Miles Mathis website. I don't know what is really going on with any of his bizarre story, there are some great essays on there, but his entire website is a digital train wreck. I previously did a post about Miles Mathis here.
This year I have decided to change my approach to blogging, and stop being so anal. To just post whatever I feel like. And that will probably include doing more copy and paste posts. I'm not sure how many or where from, but I just want to copy things that I find interesting and would like share.
Hopefully they won't piss off too many content creators, and I will include links to the original content even if those don't always work very well.
