Just two weeks ago I said I was going to stop blogging about blogging. But I never really stopped doing it, and here I go again!
OK, I thought I was being quite cunning setting up a blog on Blogger, Google's own blogging platform, as a work around for the fact that Google were grey listing search results on my www.frot.co.nz blog.
But no sooner had I done a post boasting about having 66,666 hits here on this blog when www.sift.co.nz seems to have been grey listed as well, and this week the hits have dropped from over 500 a day to under 100.
I have seven Blogger blogs, (no, I'm not actually using most of them, but this morning three had been completely locked, and although this one wasn't locked, it wasn't working properly. This evening all seven are working OK again. Are Google just pissing me around?. As long as it's working, I'll keep using this purple Blogger blog, because it's all set up now, and I can't be arsed changing again at the moment
Continuing to post on evil Google's platform could turn out to be a bit of a waste of time, and if they keep "freezing" (censoring) my blogs, I may end up going back to using WordPress again, although for now I'll just leave things as they are.
It seems that every time my hits start climbing I start getting complaints, then I get grey listed and my hits go right down again. Until they next start climbing, and I start getting banned again. This is a bit of a no win situation isn't it? I suspect my hits are never going to grow for long.
In the meantime a lot of my old content is still archived on my FROT blog.
