FIVE YEARS ON

For some reason, and this could have something to do with numbers of fingers, five is a meaningful number for humans. Not quite as epic as 10, but an important number. So I like to use five as a number of significance.

On September 11 2006, I did a post saying "OK, that's it, it's been five years and if anyone hasn't yet grasped that 9.11 was in inside job I don't have the patience to deal with them, they will just have to work it out themselves". Then I removed all the 9.11 content from my website and moved on.

It's harder to put an exact date on the start of the covidhoax, but that moronic story really seemed to kick into high gear at the start of 2020. That is now five years ago, and I feel like saying the same thing again.  "OK, that's it, it's been five years and if anyone hasn't yet grasped that covid is a hoax I don't have the patience to deal with them, they will just have to work it out themselves".

For some reason I've long held a desire to "educate the masses" and "wake up the sheeple" But 2025 feels different. For me at least, the previous years were for learning and preparing, while this year is the test. The real information is mostly still online, or recorded in books, easily downloaded from sites like Library Gen.

But the spoon feeding is over, and while there are certain subjects I'm still aiming to be helpful with, like Linux, those are mainly things I don't really understand, and presenting information helps me to learn about them. 2025 is a new year, and there are a bunch of subjects I'm not going to be spending much time discussing anymore.

In summary, the narratives are all false, and almost all the information we are being fed is fake. Do your own research. If you think Donald Trump is going to save you, this may not go well.

MAN MUST GO BI

MAN BUSES ARE SEXUALLY OPPRESSIVE

The Wellington City Council has admitted that its use of German MAN buses is oppressive to people of non-binary gender, so it is now planning to replace them all with new electric buses from Bus International (BI) the bus division of American truck manufacturer International.

The current buses feature the word “MAN” on the front and also on the driver’s steering wheel.

A spokesperson for the Men Are Redundant Movement (MARM) said MAN buses were offensive and had no place in a non-binary world.

Wellington taxpayers will again be footing the bill for another 278 new buses after already buying the environmentally friendly but sexually oppressive MAN buses, but MARM says going BI is non-negotiable, as it is not possible to put a price on ending sexual oppression.

Non-binary passengers will receive a discount when they use their TRANS bus card, and it is hoped that the people of Wellington will be encouraged to stop forcing themselves into fixed gender roles and feel free to publicly live as their authentic true selves.

To encourage people to embrace their unrestricted sexuality MARM is running an advertising campaign featuring well known Kiwi celebs who are heroically taking a public stand and displaying their true non binary selves, such as ex-NZ prime minister Jacinda Ardern.

Although most commentators fully support the move, some have suggested that buses are in themselves offensive to people of size, and by being wider than cars they are mocking people who don’t fit within the restrictive concepts of socially acceptable weight. As a way to compensate for this, the Reverse All Sizeism Today Affirmative (RASTA) suggests introducing a discounted “SIZEISM” bus card.

STARTING AGAIN

A new year is always a good time for making changes and I decided to start over again for 2025 with an all new Blogger blog using a slightly more modern theme. But not too modern, because I think most blog themes look totally lame. In fact I'm completely repulsed by the style of most "modern" blogs.

PS - As things worked out I later decided to come back to this blog, but to convert it to purple as a work around for the formatting problems I was having. So I ended up deciding not to change to a new black blog, but instead to return to my purple roots. I hope everyone likes purple!

After a quick look around I concluded that all the more fashionable up to date themes SUCK! I realise I'm a bit old school, but to me they all look "Lame and Gay" as Eric Cartman might say.

They are mostly bright white backgrounds with a bunch of distracting magazine style tiled images, and plenty of adverts. I want a simple dark look with basic menus, no distractions.

So from the start of 2025 I have swapped over and redirected the www.sift.co.nz URL to a new Sift blog, making the old 2024 blog an archive. The hits on the old blog were so low I was starting to wonder just what was going on with it, and it was starting to have an increasing number of display and formatting issues, so rather than trying to sort it out, I thought it was time for a fresh start.

As with my archived FROT blog I left the old SIFT blog as it was, but it was looking a bit crap once it stopped displaying the colours I selected, and was all shades of grey. With a new theme ("Awesome Inc Dark") I was aiming for something less limp looking.

BLOGGING IN 2025

This blog is now an archive, I was having some technical issues with it, so I've moved over to a brand new one - my new SIFT 2025 blog is HERE.

A year ago when I stopped posting on my old self hosted WordPress www.frot.co.nz blog, I called the last post "THE END OF AN ERA" and after eight years of posting on that blog it certainly felt like it.

This Sift 2024 blog was much shorter lived. I started out the year saying I would post whatever and whenever, but soon became totally anal and ended up doing at least one blog post of some sort every day for the entire year.

That probably was a bit excessive for a blog that was only getting just over 100 hits a day, especially when I suspect many of those hits are bots of some sort anyway. But ironically the number of hits here on this now archived blog have increased in 2025 after I have stopped using it and moved over to my new blog, and they now seem to be increasing every day.

For 2025 I was considering quitting doing blog posts altogether, and only posting new pages from time to time. But I must admit to being a bit addicted to posting something every day, even if it's a bit crap.

So I set up a new Blogger blog for 2025 where I plan to pretty much carry on just the same. Possibly one day I might set up another self hosted website with a bigger menu and more pages, but in the shorter term I'll keep things simple and continue using Blogger because it's quick and easy.

MOVING ON

A new year is always a good time for making changes and I have decided to start over again for 2025 with a new Blogger blog using a slightly more modern theme. But not too modern, because I think most blog themes look totally lame. In fact I'm completely repulsed by the style of most "modern" blogs.

They are mostly bright white backgrounds with a distracting magazine like tiled style and plenty of adverts. I want a simple dark look with basic menus, no distractions.

Once the new blog is set up I'll point the www.sift.co.nz URL at it, and this 2024 blog will become another archive. The hits on this blog were so low I was starting to wonder what is going on with it, and the theme was starting to have some display issues, so rather than trying to sort it out properly, I decided to make a fresh start.

I'm aiming for something less limp looking...
